Car Seat Safety

Car seat clinics are held every Wednesday from 2:00 pm until 6:00 pm behind Station I.

Properly used child restraints and seat belts provide very good protection to children. Providing this protection to children in crashes requires three important steps:

  • The restraint used must be the right type for the size and age of the child,
  • The child must be buckled correctly into the restraint according to the manufacturer’s instructions, and
  • The restraint must be correctly installed in the vehicle according to the child restraint and vehicle manufacturers’ instructions.
